Redefining The Word "Impossible"

"One day, while perusing 'The Oxford Dictionary' that we diligently compiled at The Philological Society of London, I encountered the word 'impossible.' It struck me as a rather thought-provoking term, prompting deep contemplation. As I delved into its meaning, it became clear – 'this is all wrong! Impossible is not a real word!' Therefore, I made the executive decision to embark on the arduous task of starting the project anew, with the resolution to expunge this misleading term from our lexicon," declared Mr. Murray, the meticulous editor of the Oxford Dictionary, in 1928.

One of my biggest pet peeves in the English language is “I can’t, It’s too hard,” and “That's impossible.” What is our definition of hard or impossible? Is that mathematics, or science fiction? If you said mathematics is hard, think again… It just seems that way because you may not completely understand yet. All of that stuff is easy, you just need to follow the steps correctly, otherwise, it’ll never make sense to anyone. Seriously, I’ve been there. If this is your problem, find a math tutor or teacher who can make 1, 2, 3s, sound like A, B, Cs. Anyways… Moving on…

I’m sure Sci-Fi, sounds nearly impossible. People used to say UFOs were “impossible,” but the Navy test drives them at Area 51. Although, that’s very possible with enough knowledge and the right technology. This shows you how small-minded people are. “Today’s Science Fiction is tomorrow’s reality.”

The people of the 80s could never imagine the kind of technology we have in 2024. How hilarious is that? There are even some streams that flow backward!

So what is truly “impossible” then? Technically nothing, because "if you can think it, you can do it." Do you think Nikola Tesla believed the lie that access to unlimited energy sources wasn’t possible? Are you kidding me?! We have the sun for God’s sake! Radio and electromagnetic frequency waves are floating in the air! As long as the earth’s core is intact, the weather cycles keep going, and none of the stars, moons, or planets disappear, unlimited power is everywhere! The second all energy sources disappear, the universe no longer exists. This tells us, the more, and more we learn, everything in life becomes easier, including creating the next big invention. In other words, nothing is too hard, we complicate everything because we think too much!

So if you stop, take a deep breath, clear your mind of clutter, relax, and try again you’ll start to understand a lot more than you did before. Everyone has that “Genius” inside of them waiting to come out, but if we keep hindering ourselves, and being our stumbling block, saying “I can’t, it’s too hard, that’s impossible,” which sends a signal to your brain causing it to create a “Pirates Who Don’t Anything Mindset,” we’ll never succeed. When you start saying

“I can, I’ve got this, you’re a winner, not a loser,” when you feel like all is lost, and everything has gone all wrong, your brain’s perspective will start to change, and that will shift your attitude greatly, which overall creates a better outcome in life.

Believe me, I’ve tried this, it works especially if you can keep up with it.

Try taking “I can’t, it’s too hard,” and “impossible,” and replacing those phrases with “I can, this is easy I just need to understand it better,” and

“I can do anything I set my mind on,” watch your confidence boost, and everything around you will get better.

The Bottomline

Either way, no matter what our opinions or thoughts are, being negative and pathetic gets us absolutely nowhere. So what harm will it do to have a more positive outlook on life? Absolutely none!
